A Season of Renewal in Christ

by Nadine

April ushers in more than the promise of spring, it brings one of the most sacred and transformative moments in our faith journey: Passover. As we reflect on Yah’s powerful deliverance of His people and the ultimate fulfilment of that deliverance through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are invited into a deeper understanding of what it means to be truly renewed.

Passover is not only a celebration of freedom from physical bondage but a profound reminder that, through Jesus, we have been freed from the grip of sin, fear and death. This month is an invitation to look inward, clear out the clutter of the heart and step boldly into the newness of life promised to us in Christ.

Just as nature blossoms with new life, believers are called to bloom spiritually, to rise again from the spiritual weight of the past, walk in our new identity and reflect the beauty of grace and transformation.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17

Renewal in Christ is not simply about self-improvement; it is about surrender. It is about laying down every burden, every fear, every habit or lie that holds us back, and embracing the truth of who we are in Jesus.

We are no longer defined by our past. We are no longer trapped in cycles of guilt or striving. Through the finished work of Christ, we are redeemed, restored and called new.

This month, allow your soul to breathe. Let go of anything that no longer aligns with who you are in Christ. Invite Yah into your routines, your thoughts and your stillness. Make space for His presence. Just as spring signals growth in the natural, let it also mark spiritual growth in your life: a deeper faith, a renewed mind and a softened heart.

Reflection:

  • What would it look like to live each day this month intentionally renewed in Jesus?
  • In what area of my life am I still holding on to the old when Yah is calling me into something new?
  • How does the truth of Passover and the resurrection of Christ reshape the way I see myself?

A Prayer for the Month Ahead:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of renewal found in Your Son, Jesus Christ. This month, as I reflect on the freedom and salvation You’ve given through Him, I ask You to search my heart. Reveal what needs to be surrendered and breathe new life into my spirit. Transform my heart and mind by Your grace. Teach me to walk confidently in the new identity You’ve given me through Christ. Help me reflect Your love, peace and hope in everything I do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
